This year’s winners were Team 4 skipped by Max McGill with Douglas Dewar, Robin Turner and John Fingland. Team 3, skipped by Yvonne Chalmers with Gordon Nicolson, Jean McMaster and Ian McNair came a very close second with Team 5, skipped by Malcolm with John Duthie, Fraser Munro and Steven Harte a very close third.
All three teams ended up with 6 points, Teams 3&4 both won 17 ends, but Team 4 won on shots up.
Theoretically Team 5 were still in contention going into the last game of the league but an 8-0 end win and 21-0 shot victory was out of reach – they did win five ends and won 13-3 including a seven shot seventh end win.
